Eight-Point Star |
Darly Dulion |
Level 2 |
 |
Among the oldest quilt patterns dating back to the early 1800s. It is also known as LeMoyne Star, named for Jean-Louise LeMoyne who was an artist in Paris. Jean-Louise's star pattern was used for tile and inlays in the palace of Versailles. His cousins, Pierre and Jean Baptiste LeMoyne were the brothers who founded the city of New Orleans. Beginning and advanced quilter’s are going to love learning how to use QuiltSmart printed interfacing. The traditional piecing technique for Eight Point Star requires precision and patience to get well-formed, flat stars, but NOT with Quiltsmart's pieced-by-appliqué magic method. Using a lightweight printed fusible interfacing makes it all possible. With 14” blocks you’ll be able to have your quilt top done in no time.
